I am a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities grow, heal, and  live well. I meet you where you are and work with you to build  a healthy therapeutic connection which is used to facilitate the growth and healing process.  I take honor in creating a safe space for clients and working collaboratively to identify and meet treatment goals.  With over 15 years of experience, I have extensive training and experience with depression, anxiety, child traumatic stress, stress management, racial stress/trauma, parenting skills/co-parenting, and life and family transitions.  In addition to individual and family therapy, I have worked extensively in communities designing and implementing interventions that address trauma and depression for Black youth and emerging adults. 
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman University, M.S. in Community Psychology from Florida A & M University, and a M.A. & Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from DePaul University.  I completed my pre-doctoral clinical internship at Duke University Medical Center and  postdoctoral fellowship as a W.K. Kellogg Community Health Scholar at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In addition to private practice, I am also an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Clinical Training  of the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at Howard University.
